🎉 Extratex — Supercritical Fluid Innovation Receives Major Support for Innovation! 🚀
We are proud to announce that our project has obtained a FEDER grant, financed by the European Union and the Grand Est Region, for the construction of a 400 L – 1000 bar supercritical extraction unit.
🔬 This ambitious project aims to develop the first large-scale, ultra-high-pressure (>900 bar) solution using supercritical CO₂.
The objective is to offer internally, in the form of a technical service, a unique tool capable of meeting a wide range of needs in various sectors, with:
🧪 More Versatility: multiple applications possible on a single machine.
📈 Increased performance: extraction of new molecules with high potential, such as astaxanthin or lycopene, inaccessible at lower pressures.
🌱 Beyond technological innovation, this project is part of a strong ecological approach: supercritical CO₂ is a natural, non-toxic, recyclable and environmentally friendly solvent, making it possible to obtain pure and highly concentrated extracts without polluting organic solvents.
